Digitalization in Emerging Economies

In a new book for Cambridge's Elements in the Economics of Emerging Markets series, Mark Esposito and coauthors explore the potential for using emerging technologies for inclusive and sustainable development. "To ensure consumer protection, emerging economies must develop feasible national cybersecurity strategies to protect critical infrastructure, businesses, and citizens’ privacy. Moreover, citizens’ privacy can be further expanded through digital identities, and communities can be educated to trust user-friendly digital identity systems that respect privacy and enhance access to digital services."
